- 6 April 2020 Linda Cheffings, the University’s Finance and HR Systems Manager, died on 7 November 2019. Her colleague Julie Coombs offers this remembrance.
- 24 March 2016 Geoffrey (Geoff) Eglinton, Professor of Organic Geochemistry and Professor Emeritus in the School of Chemistry, then Senior Research Fellow in the School of Earth Sciences, died at home on 11 March after a short illness. His colleague and friend, Professor James Maxwell, offers a remembrance.

- 11 November 2021 Dr Elizabeth Bird, Emeritus Dean of the Faculty of Arts and former Head of Continuing Education, passed away in October. Her friends and colleagues Jo Elsworth, Jackie West and Hilary Land offer this remembrance.

- 14 March 2016 Geoffrey Eglinton FRS, member of the School of Chemistry from 1968 to 1993 and Emeritus Professor and Senior Research Fellow in Earth Sciences at Bristol, sadly passed away on Friday 11 March.
- 20 April 2020 Harvey Goldstein FBA, Professor of Social Statistics in the School of Education, sadly passed away on 9 April at the age of 80.
- 12 April 2016 Declan Anderson, Emeritus Professor of Oral Biology at Bristol, died at the age of 95 on Easter Day, 27 March. His friend and colleague, Professor Bruce Matthews, offers a tribute.
