  • 17 December 2014 A book by Robert Fowler, Henry Overton Wills Professor of Greek, has won the Charles J Goodwin Award of Merit.
  • 12 May 2022 We need to look after young brains: threats including early life adversity, sleep disruption, drug addiction and genetic mutations can all challenge brain development and lifelong mental health. Thanks to funding of over £6.5 million for new brain research, neuroscientists at the University of Bristol hope to alleviate these threats and their burden on patients, carers, clinicians and society.
  • 16 December 2014 Bristol’s universities are joining forces to make an impact of over £1 million on the city’s economy whilst making positive and sustainable environmental changes during Bristol 2015 European Green Capital.

  • 1 October 2024 The University of Bristol has received a £1million grant from the UKRI Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) to establish a new Centre for Chemical Characterisation in Heritage Sciences – an initiative that will span Arts, Chemistry and Earth Sciences.
